After completion of its first official year in operation, The Way Out is proud to share with you its 2021 Annual Report.
Although 2021 was our first full year in operation, it was a year filled with incredible progress and social impact.
And, despite an operating budget of just over $100,000.00, we were able to achieve some pretty incredible results!
In the Spring of 2021, The Way Out created and launched its My Way Out mobile support app and dashboard.
Over 100 clients were onboarded onto The Way Out's platform (including currently incarcerated individuals).
56 total clients were officially served by our team, which included the matching of over 180 supportive services for our clients.
Housing, Employment, Transportation and Healthcare were among the most commonly requested services
27 individuals found jobs through the platform and currently 25 of them are still employed!
In October of 2021, The Way Out's non-profit, My Way Out, INC received its official 501(c)3 status. My Way Out will be the primary reentry, supportive services and employment training provider for The Way Out, INC.
By December 2021, The Way Out completed work on its new My Way Out, CRM software (for reentry service providers and their clients). This new product is set to launch by the end of February 2022.
Funding in 2022 is once again being led by American Family Insurance Institute for Corporate and Social Impact. We have also received a MacArthur Foundation subgrant from Milwaukee Community Justice Council.
We plan on not only doubling our reentry impact in 2022, but also launching several new programs. These programs will be focused on Bridging the Tech Gap, Restorative justice and Pre-entry services, for justice impacted individuals and their families.
We are currently seeking to raise an additional $150,000.00 to accomplish our new programs and goals for 2022. Donations are accepted via the donation page or by contacting Eli Rivera at erivera@twout.org
